I am having trouble finding information on the useful range of the radio on a
mote.On the Micaz datasheet they claim 20-30m indoors and 75-100m outdoors but
how do these numbers translate into a real use?Obviously there are a lot of
variables that will affect range in different environments but I guess the
generally signal quality will gradually decrease with distance (rather than a
sudden drop at 75m).
In your experience roughly what sort of range can you expect 90 or 95% of
packets to be received in different environments? Or if anyone has any links I
can read then that would be great.
