Hello,

"Frame Length” (PHR), is 8-bits long, however 1 of these bits is reserved. Therefore, the physical layer will be able to receive 127 bytes at maximum [IEE06, Sec.6.4.1]. Besides, this field contains all header values (14 bytes for I-Frames). Thus, I believe that the maximum payload at the MAC layer (TOSH_DATA_LENGTH) should be 113 bytes. However I haven't checked this empirically.

Hello,
I would like to know what is the maximum payload size that we can set for micaz motes using TOSH_DATA_LENGTH.
Also, what are the consequences of setting it to a high value.
I understand that by default it is set to 28 bytes.

Thanks
Vikram
