It should be something in the microsecond range. The exact frequency of this timer depends on the hardware you use and how it is configured. For the mica family (mica2, micaz, iris), when the motes are configured to use the external 7.3MHz crystal (which is the default), the frequency of the millisecond precision timer is 921600Hz.
