Hi again

I have no problem to connect UART0 to the PC using the pins on the extension
connector, I am not asking about nay hardware issues.

The problem is that if I change in PlatformSerialC.nc to use the UART0, no
communication takes place over the radio - I can see with oscilloscope that
on the SPI0 bus no packets are sent at any time. In same time no UART
communication takes place, if I check with oscilloscope the UART0 lines the
signal from the PC is smashed down to 0.7V at the "ONES", instead of 2.6V
when it is on UART1.

SO my guess is that the arbiter is not used in serial communication or in
radio communication as expected by me and the USART0 device at the end is
not configured as UART or SPI in different moments of time.

Subject: Fwd: [Tinyos-help] Sharing UART0 and SPI0 on tinyos2.0.2

Hi,

I'm not sure it's possible to communicate over UART0.
If you look on the MSP430 block diagram (attached) it shows that only UART1
goes to USB converter.

Hello,

Does anyone have a base station application in which the PC side is
communicating on UART0? I have tried to convert the ordinary base station
that comes with the tinyos 2.0.2, but no success.

An idea just how to share the radio and the uart on the msp430 would be very
welcome.
