Hi,

Has anyone know about the resistance between the A1-B1 and A2-B2 terminals
of AD5242 used in the magnetometer circuitry? It is written AD5242 B100 on
the IC, does it mean that it is 100k Ohm?

Another thing is that, experimentally, i see that 1unit of potentiometer
change results in a change of 54 ADC counts. When i looked at the circuit
diagram at the MTS-MDA User's Manual and assuming that the A1-B1 and A2-B2
resistances are both 100kOhms, i calculate it about 54 ADC counts.

Could anyone confirm this?

Actually, on the web, i found two sources:

1. Alec Woo's presentation:
"magnetometer_calibration"
in which he mentions that 1 unit of potentiometer change results in 140 ADC
counts!

2. A paper from UCLA,
"Magnetometer Detection and Temperature Noise Control with SOS",
it is written 1 unit of potentiometer change results in 32 ADC counts!

Is this situation due to different hardware versions? As i recall, there is
no hardware version printed on the pcb, so i could not prove this claim!

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,
