Hi, All

I have a problem in setting up the mesh network through moteview/Xmesh.

Background: Windows XP, Tinyos 2.x and Moteview 2.0.

I plan to use total 8 MicaZ nodes including one sensor node working with
mib510 gateway. First I was able to successfully download the Xmesh
micaz\MTS300\XMTS300CB_2420_hp.exe program through Moteview “node
configuration” to each node other than the base station node. I assigned
node ID from 1 to 7 to each node. Then I set 0 to the base station one. And
also download a different \MoteView\xmesh\micaz\XMeshBase\
XMeshBase_2420_hp.exe program to that.

But after all these work, when I turn on the power of each node, all those
nodes cannot form a mesh network. Looks like there is no communication
within these nodes. And only the green light on the mib510 board keeps on.

I opened the Moteview 2.0 GUI, and in the message error window, there is a
message and said “XServer is not running. Process aborted:
xserver2/bin/xserver.exe.”

Anyone can help me? Why those Micaz sensor nodes cannot form a mesh
network. Anything wrong with the switch position?

BTW, the batteries are brand new ones.

I appreciate any kind of help.

Wendy
