Because:
   1) Both commercial products I've (actually been paid to) use
        are based on T1 (Boomerang and Moteworks).
   2) My own robot project is deeply embedded (pun intended)
        in T1 symantics at this point.
   3) I can't face learning yet another set of layers of
        obfuscation between me and the hardware.
   4) I'm not a grad student, nor do I have any to torture.
