Hello people, Kindly see if you can answer the doubts and help me out.
1) I wish to know how much time does it take in general to transfer a packet in TOSSIM. Are there any documents giving such measures: time,memory,energy required for a single packet transfer where the packet follows the TOSSIM packet format specified? 2) Can someone suggest if the below mentioned evaluation strategy is OK. Actually I have thought of a novel node activation algorithm but am finding trouble in simulating it in TOSSIM. This forced me to implement my algorithm in Java. To verify if it is better than one of the existing algorithms I have made use of a simple energy model for a WSN and compared the two and my algorithm's giving better results in terms of energy efficiency. The problem is I have not tested it in TOSSIM. So, how do I justify it would work in the same manner for a real WSN? Or is it not justified yet because the Java program is not a simulator and doesnt take into account the packet losses,etc. Awaiting your responses and suggestions. Thanking in advance.
