Normally not. The CPU used in mica2 is ATmega128L, its datasheet says
ATmega128L runs between 0-8MHz.  I've heard that someone made it run at
16MHz by changing the oscillator , using a 5V power, and editing the fuse
bit. But it is not confirmed.
