Hi All, I am trying to understand the code of S4 in tinyOS-2.x, I am just currious about the beaconing system implemented in this protocol. What I understood so far is that for first 80 times each root node broadcasts S4BeaconMsg, containing the root information which only goes 1 hop and after those 80 rounds, it starts sending DV messages. My question is that: what benefit one can get from this distinction?
