Hi

I have some problems understanding the packet structure in tinyos mica2
motes.
First I wanted to know if each layer, (MAC, Data Link and Physical ) adds a
header/footer to the data payload. I send 10 bytes data payload from mica2
motes. Avrora shows that 32 bytes have been sent so it makes 22 extra bytes.
However, in message_t TEP: 111 it says that each packet has 18 bytes header
and
footer and in http://academic.csuohio.edu/yuc/mobile09/gaurav.pdf it says in
maxa2 cc1000 each packet has 9 bytes header and footer. I still don't get
where
that 22 extra bytes come from. I also wanted to know if message_t message
buffer is the type that is propagated in the radio or further headers are
added
to it before being sent over radio.

Best regards
