I installed tinyos 2.1.1 using the debian packages from the repository:
http://hinrg.cs.jhu.edu/tinyos
for Ubuntu 11.04 (natty) 64-bit. I believe that the avr-gcc binay is
missing from the packages, as I could not compile any examples. After
installing from:
http://sing.stanford.edu/tinyos/dists/ubuntu
I was able to compile the programs.
Even after installing avr-gcc-tinyos from the jhu.edu packages,
avr-gcc was still missing. just an FYI for the packagers.
