Hi, I'm planning to make up a WSN using 6LoWPAN and I saw edge routers act as a bridge between the nodes and the routers connected to Internet. In my case, the LoWPAN will be connected to an IPv4 network, so I need edge routers which handle IPv4 interconnectivity. Now, the questions are "What are the guidelines I can take in consideration to select the edge routers? Is the firmware usually provided with the router? If not, what I need to download it? Is there the possibility to find routers with open firmware?" Maybe this isn't the right place to post this problem, but I hope in your experience. Thanks in advance.
