You are able to show something like leds switching right?

The next step in your demo might be to make a GUI in Java with some buttons
like switch on/off the 3 leds on the other mote; another example may be
text box in which the user can write a number (0-7) and click a button to
send it to the other mote, once it is received then set that number in
binary with the leds.

To do so you need to get familiar with MIG and serial communication. It is
quite straightforward. Check the tutorials and other mails on this list.
As a first hint, remember you must create an ActiveMessage for the radio
and another one for the serial interface, with both transmitting and
receiver in each case, and with specific variables as well.
