Hi all,
I am using MICA2 motes (433MHz) with Tinyos-1.x. I am interested in increasing
the data rate as more as possible. If the reading I have done has been worth I
have understood that the standard baud rate is 38.4K that becames 19.4Kb/s
after the Manchester encoding (2 chips -> 1 bit.). The standard preamble is set
in the MODEM1 - SETTLING register and the default value set in the
CC1000ControlM file is 11 that according to the Chipcon-CC1000 datasheet
corresponds to 98 chips, is it correct?
I am trying to transmit continuously for 1 second and I receive 15 packets.
Considering that every packet is 36 bytes of Tos_Msg + (98/2)=49bit of preamble
the datarate I am achieving is about 5.040 Kb/s, far from the nominal 19.4
Kb/s.
Could someone clear me the point?
Thanks,
Giacomo
