Hello,
I am running Crossbow applications (ie, Xsniffer, Moteview, etc) on my
Windows-based computer, and I am trying to read RSSI. I tried to use Xserve and
all values I get for RSSI were 0 even if I change the distance, and thus expect
the RSSI to drop significantly. Only thing that I found changing with distance
was the RF values provided in the "All" tab in Xsniffer, ranging from 0 to 63.
In the Xmesh document it says about the RF tab: "Either numerical or icon
display of the radio receive strength (RSSI) as measured by the XSniffer mote
radio." I am wondering if there is any equation I could use to transform these
numbers to real RSSI values.
Your help is highly appreciated, as I have been stuck in this for a month now.
Thank you...
