Hi there, i am trying to work on a scenario in which there are few sensor nodes and which ever first receive a packet from basestation node should start yelling and jam the channel for a particular time and after that nodes will smaller IDs shouldn't transmit whereas node with greatest ID should do the same process. I assume that nodes are in straight line. Now please suggest me that is this the task of MAC layer ? as i don't want to involve higher layers into this. secondly, what should be the strategy.
