Of course. multihop is a routing layer thing. oscillioscope (multi
flavor) is an application thing.

The multi flavor of the oscillioscope application just wires things up
differently to pull in different lower layer modules to get the
multihopping working. It is the mechanism that tells how to pull the bits
together.
