Hi everyone,

I'm using packet-level time sync (T32khz) and notice even though the offset
between the clock of the sender and receiver is approximately a linear
function of time mostly, there are sporadic
outliers<http://www.cs.wayne.edu/xliu/downloads/offset_vs_local_time.jpg>.
Are they normal? They can deviate from the regression line by as large as
60 ticks (1 tick is about 1/32 ms), making time sync not precise enough for
my application.

I suspect the problem may be caused by timestamping bug in the default
CC2420 radio stack and wonder if timestamping is working in TinyOS 2.1.2.
There are conflicting claims,
some<http://docs.tinyos.net/tinywiki/index.php/PacketTimeStamp_CC2420_bug>indicating
it is while others
not<http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg42489.htmlhttp://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg42489.html>.
Can anybody give me some definite answer, please? Thanks.
