The problem is that that application is written to use the 32khz timer which is not available on the IRIS. Most likely you should start from the apps/tests/TestFtsp/Ftsp application and add the LowPowerListeing parts from FtspLpl app (basically you need to set the remote and local wakeup intervals for all messages).
