Hello, I never work with mviz so I don't know what problem you're having.
Maybe you should try to look at this: https://tinyos-main.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/apps/MViz/README.txt I suppose that you was running tos-mviz MVizMsg I think that your command is to display some .gif image at local directory (or working directory). And if mviz find no .gif image, it just stops (i.e. close the window instantly). That's my guess. I can't be any more useful... Good luck! Ha.
