2. what is rfxlink? is it a kind of technique or a hardware structure?

At the e-mail you sent later, you said "Blip1 worked with iris, but for a
very short period. It was fixed a few months before blip2 was merged.". Where
can I get the fixed one? In tinyos 2.1.2 ? It does not work in that way.

Blip doesn't work with any rfxlink radio, and the rf230 on iris uses rfxlink.
There were patches about this, some of them seemed the work (search the list),
but non of them was merged.

Have you ever used blip with iris mote? I compiled the source in the folder
tinyos-2.x/support/sdk/c/blip, and it works well with micaz, but not with iris.
