Hi Renaud:

TIPC uses the ancillary data capability of the socket interface to allow
applications to gain additional info about an incoming message, such as
the error code describing why a rejected message was returned.  (The
TIPC Programmer's Guide provides more info in section 2.1.12.)  Most
designers probably won't make use of this capability, but it can be very
useful in some instances.

It would be very helpful to have this capability in the Solaris port
somewhere along the line, but I wouldn't classify it as essential for
the first release.

I have some issues coding the anc_data_recv() function for Solaris. 
Looks like this differs a lot from Linux.
What are these ancillary datas used to? And are they of any use for
TIPC?
