Hi Pongki, TIPC deems its underlying communication media as "bearer" which is an abstract concept. It means that one TIPC node can talk with its peers through any media. The bearers TIPC supports now include Ethernet, UDP and Infiniband. Additionally, intra-process communication in a single node doesn't depend on any bearer. In other words, as long as TIPC module is enabled, two processes in a single node can talk each other through TIPC socket interfaces.
