There is a guy in my carpool who teaches accounting in the college of business. He tells me that ESP, Bigfoot, psychokinesis, ghosts, etc. all exist. When I countered with the fact that many of these phenomena would violate the laws of physics, and the burden of proof is on those making the claim for the phenomena, not science to disprove it, he told me that "That's only true in western science which can never explain these things." I told him that science was science, and the scientific methods used, are used all over the globe by reputable scientists. He countered with "There are people out there with paranormal powers that hide those powers from scientists." I am glad he teaches accounting.
