Having attended a Jesuit university, I was sometimes awed and sometimes annoyed by Thomas of Aquinas. For instance, I recall his silly discussion about whether two angels can be in the same place at the same time. (His conclusion: "No.")
But I thought TIPSters might enjoy the following...it also reminded me of the Occam's Razor discussion that took place on TIPS a couple of years ago. (See Archives, I guess...)
Nursery Rhyme of Scholasticism
William of Occam, oh where have you been? "I've been out dancing on the head of a pin."
What do you conclude, now your task is complete?
"It's fine for the angels, but hard on the feet."
