I don't seem to have the problems in the classroom that many of you have been reporting. Many of my students want to be told what to believe (it saves them the time of thinking about it themselves) and more importantly, will it be on the next test. They really hate it when I give them three perspectives on an issue and don't tell them which one is right. Once, I was telling a class that with pollution, and mismanagement of the planet, its possible that humans may not be a viable species in the future. Ten seconds later, a voice asks, "Do we have to know this for test 3 ?"
