Congrats to you and your students. Mine did MUCH better on a second exam this semester also. As I tried to figure out why they did relatively poorly on the first exam I thought that the events of 9-11 and the aftereffects may have had some influence. So we talked about it in class, really pretty briefly, but it seemed just to break a lot of ice lal around.
