Hi! Our university is considering offering a distance degree in psychology and I wanted to know whether anyone out there had experience setting up such a degree. What are the pros and cons? What are the costs? (This is particularly important because there may be some money to setup such a program right now but this money may not be available in the future.) How did professors handle project courses such as experimental methodology? How were courses that use the students in the class as experimental subjects to illustrate experiments in class handle the distance aspect? How was the drop-out factor handled? That is, there does seem to be some indication that web-based courses experience larger drop-out rates than on-campus classes. How did the administration count such courses when minimum requirements are needed for on-campus courses? (We require 10 students for an undergraduate course in order to hold the course.)
Thanks in advance for any advice. Adrienne ===================================================================== DR. ADRIENNE Y.
