I believe the movie was put out by NOVA, "Secret of the Wild Child". The
last I read about Genie, indicated that her language skills and her sign
language had deteriorated, according to Dr. Curtiss, but that she went on
outings such as Las Vegas with her group. No members of the Team that
worked with Genie is allowed to see her. Her mother is the legal guardian
and would not allow it. Hope this helps.

I'll try to answer both questions:

        1. Unless the situation has changed recently, Genie is currently
living in a group home in Las Angeles.

        2. The movie, Wild Child, is an outstanding one for either
psychology or sociology classes (I've shown it in both with very
positive feedback). It presents a great deal of video footage from the
original research archives, and thus allows the student to watch Genie's
development from the time she was discovered until the project lost its
funding some years later (including seeing her say her first word, make
her first friend, etc.). In addition, it relates the experience to that
of a French "Wild Child" in the 19th Century. The tape is at the campus,
but if no one has it immediately at hand, I'll check the publication
info on it (I'm pretty sure it was produced by or for PBS and is
probably available from their website store) Monday and post it to the
list.

        Hope it helps,

        Rick
