Fair comments.

And I apologize if I did not address Nancy's original comment.  I do not 
remember seeing it.

Perhaps it would be interesting to psychologically examine women in and 
outside of the church, or examine women in churches that do and do not 
adhere to viewing men and women as somehow functionally different.

I would imagine it would be interesting to study women in churches
that teach the authority of men over women, and look at how the women view 
this teaching, if they agree with it, where they agree with it, where they see it 
mutated and abused, the psychological differences (if any) between women 
in and outside of this male-authority church teaching, etc.  

Offhand I don't know if there has been any research done, but maybe 
someone else has something to offer.  Perhaps that would be an appropriate 
use of the topic.
