A number of us discuss the sexual "double standard" in our classes, i.e., different acceptable sexual behavior norms for males and females. Do any of you know of any research data that addressed the following issue? How do college & H.S. students answer the following inquiry. A male is thinking of marrying his girlfriend. He asks her how many other males she has slept with? What is the maximum # she can give before he no longer wants to marry her? Does that number apply to him as well (women shouldn't marry men who have slept with X women)?
Same question asked of females.
