I've now completed a vigorous search both on and off the
Internet, in all the likely places, and have come up with exactly
nothing that would verify this. Given the absence of his
publications since the mid-1970's, it seems likely that he's
dead. However, I wonder whether Ken might have confused him with
one of his associates, George Wolf, in reporting that he
committed suicide. I should also say I haven't been able to
verify that information either.

A complete strike-out this time. It seems that although many of
our generation (and I won't say which one that is!) find his name
familiar, he didn't quite reach the threshold of an obituary in
the American Psychologist or anywhere else retrievable.
