We have a university-wide policy (which is printed in a list of regulations on the cover of exam booklets) that no student may leave the exam room in the first 30 minutes, and no student may enter after 30 minutes. (Pat can't peek at the exam, then leave and tell Mike before he comes in.) How strictly enforced it is, I'm not sure. Seems to work, though, because while we often have a few people who arrive a bit late, few arrive very late. -David
