Not to mention national pride for a downtrodden nation. That we
wuz robbed is evident. That we wuz robbed by statistics is less
so.

I've never understood figure skating judging procedures, and
after that sorry example last night, I probably never will.  But
I'd be interested to hear Rick provide a dissertation on the
topic, with special reference to the role played by a preference
for ordinal over interval data.
