Mike, I almost missed this one. Imagine my joy. Empirical evidence would be really important in this situation. Could you supply some? Otherwise, you have absolutely no basis for your argument. Sorry, having a genuine disagreement with someone's beliefs is absolutely understandable, and arguing forcefully against those beliefs is absolutely a person's right. I will defend your right and another's right to call my beliefs unempirical, untested, unbelievable. Just do it with kindness. Using language that includes "fairy tales" or claiming murder/suicides are OFTEN spurred by religious fantasies strikes me as anything but kind.
