One of my students said - and others agreed - that the fact that Andrea Yates didn't kill herself after she'd killed her children proved that she wasn't insane.
There's so much wrong there that I hardly knew where to start. (But believe me, I went at it with vigor.)
Thank God, at least it was an Intro. course and not Abnormal Psych. I think I would have felt real despair if my Abnormal Psych. students had made a statement like that.
