Rip, I found my best choice was a local company. The price was cheaper ($14.95/mo. - teacher rate). I've since signed up for the cable hookup (love the speed), but have kept my local server. Check out your Yellow Pages for "Internet Providers" or "Internet Service," and you'll be amazed at all the places that offer coverage. We do tend to think in terms of AOL, Compuserve and the Big Guys. Consider the Little Guys. They're usually a lot more user-friendly too...
