With so many individuals coming out and stating that they were sexually
molested by Catholic priests,I am curious as to how critical memory
factors may play in the the reliability, validity, creativity in some of these alleged
episodes. Some of these events purportedly happened as far
back as 30 years ago ?Were the implications then similar to implications
now.Apparenlty there were no witnesses or tell tale stories to other
secondary relay witnesses.
There is some evidence that some of those allegations were fabricated.
Remember the guy who accused the late Cardinal of Chicago of this and
it was later found that he made up the story?
And recently a woman accused a priest of such and it was discovered
that she had some kind of schizoid personality disorder.
And while on this subject (free associating), are these behaviors more
pevalent among Diocesan (Secular) Priests than priests of Religious
Orders (Franciscan,Jesuits,Benedictines)? And what could be the factor
if differences are found?
And what about the Brothers of the Religious Orders assigned to parishes?
