Hi TIPSters: I need help in selecting some texts for my undergraduate courses.
First, I'm looking for a text that provides an overview of empirically-supported treatments for mental disorders. Barlow's Clinical Handbook fo Psychological Disorders is an excellent text, but it seems more geared towards graduate students. Same thing with Nathan and Gorman's A Guide to Treatments That Work. Second, I'm looking for a supplemental text that teaches basic active listening skills. I want to use this as a supplement for my Theories and Techniques of Counseling course. Any suggestions?
