The Department of Psychology at the University of Toledo has been authorized to hire a visiting assistant professor or visiting instructor, for the 2002-2003 academic year (August 19, 2002 to May 9, 2003); this is not a tenure-track position. Teaching assignments will be at the undergraduate level and will include such courses as introductory psychology, developmental psychology, lifespan development, statistics, and research methods. The major focus of the position is on teaching, and a record of high quality previous teaching experience is desirable. A record of research productivity is also desirable, and research activities will be encouraged and supported. We prefer that all requirements for the Ph.D. degree be completed by August 19, 2002, although that is not mandatory. The Department of Psychology currently has 20 full-time faculty members, over 400 undergraduate majors, and 50 doctoral students (in clinical and behavioral science areas).
