I'm writing to see if anyone might have, or be able to point me to, some information about current use of the split brain operation. Two questions: (1) Is the surgery still conducted, with about the same (low) frequency, or have there been improvements in seizure control medications that make it even less necessary than before? (2) Is the surgery sometimes used to control seizures unrelated to epilepsy?
