Hey everyone: I just received the following unsolicited email and was asked to post it to tips; it relates to the lawsuit over ACAT which has been discussed here, and it contradicts some other info I heard at the assessment conference and from other tips members; I can’t vouch for it’s truth, I’m only the messenger.

I am writing to dispel the controversy of a "lawsuit" between Austin Peay State University and PACAT.  There is neither lawsuit nor litigation and any mention of such are unsubstantiated rumors.

The ACAT has been in use since 1983 and PACAT will continue to offer customized outcomes assessment materials indefinitely.  We are able to provide all services without interruption and we will see to it that all of your outcomes assessment needs are met.  I hope this has put you at ease and if you could please pass the correct information on to the TIPS list to straighten out any misunderstandings that the original postings may have caused, it will be greatly appreciated.  If we can be of further assistance, please contact us.  Our website is www.collegeoutcomes.com, or you can contact me directly.
