Hello Jean-Marc,

I hope it's not too late to add my two cents worth of suggestions for a
social psychology textbook.

I teach at a two-year college and use the Baron, Byrne, and Watson's
(2001) Exploring Social Psychology, third Canadian Edition for my
second-year level course. The instructor's manual is okay, but not great.
I've never seen the transparencies. In fact, I don't even know if there
are any. I make my own. I use the test bank but have found that it
repeated some of its questions in the second edition version, it's a bit
better in the current edition. There is room for improvement in the range
of questions provided. It's nice if you can review several other social
psyc texts and see their manuals and test banks for comparison and for
ideas!

The Baron et al text has the advantages of being paperback (it is briefer
than the hardcover American Baron and Byrne text, 10th edition) and of
using Canadian issues to illustrate concepts.

There are other Canadian texts too, but they are hardcover, longer, and
hence, more expensive for our cash-strapped students. One of the hardcover
texts I think is a good alternative is the Aronson, Wilson, Akert, and
Fehr, Social Psychology, Canadian Edition, (2001) which has a good
instructor's manual. I'm not sure about its test bank or transparencies.

Myers and Spencer also have a Social Psychology, Canadian Edition (2001)
text. It comes with a very useful instructor's manual and test bank. I
don't know about its transparencies. As with any Myers' text this one too
is written in an engaging fashion.

Good luck in your search.

Elizabeth
