Hello all, In my child development class in discussing the role of oxytocin, as both a neurotransmitter and a hormone, a student asked if it is present in adoptive parents. I assumed that since there is no biological tie, it probably is not, although I claimed that it is present, as a neurotransmitter, in the biological father. I admitted, of course, that I wasn't completely certain about this. Can anyone on the list help with this one?
