I am using Kosslyn & Rosenberg's "Psychology: The Brain, The Person, The World" text
for the third semester in a row in my 101 general psychology class. The book had
recently been published when I needed to decide on my text choice - given that I had
not previously taught general, and the books advertised multi-level approach, with a
reasonable emphasis on the brain, and my neuroscience background - I went with it. If
I can believe my evals ;-) my students are reasonably happy with the book. Not too
much detail, and lots of real-world scenarios to provide relevant depth to the
material. However, they think the Grade Aid materials that come with the book are a
bit too much. And, I think the powerpoint displays are a bit too cutsie. That said -
overall, I am pretty happy with the text.

Is anyone on the list using Kosslyn and Rosenberg's Fundamentals of
Psychology? The book looks potentially interesting, but I am wondering how
it is being received by students and profs.
