I would recommend you consider Cognitive Psychology (5th ed) by John B. Best (Brooks/Cole). Only 2 chapters on memory. Good coverage of language, thinking, and the structure of knowledge.
As an undergrad, it was one of the best texts I used. But, given that Dr. Best was my professor I may be a bit biased! Michael J.
