http://books.nap.edu/books/0309047471/html/96.html#pagetop The MBTI is OK for getting people to think about individual differences but I question taking it seriously because of the reliability issues. For personnel decisions (i.e., selection, promotion) a test or battery needs higher reliability than for use in counseling. Unless the guidelines have changed recently, burden of proof for demonstrating job-related validities rests with the employer. The MBTI simply does not have high enough reliabilities to establish job-related validities.
