The story reminds me of when I was going for my masters.  Faculty were
required to share offices. One of my teachers, on the cluttered side of the
spectrum shared her office with someone who was compulsively uncluttered.
One day the uncluttered professor said to the cluttered one, "a cluttered
desk is a sign of a cluttered mind." Her reply was "an empty desk is a sign
of an empty mind."
