How about this. I am grading essay tests one question at a time and I read one and say 
to myself, "that is pretty good but not quite a full enough explanation" and gave it a 
less than perfect score. I looked at the front of the test and was surprised to see 
that it was done by that usually exceptional student named Key. Oops.

Well, just to show you I am not too self-absorbed, I will repeat the story 
of how I set a huge stack of graded-but-not-yet-recorded-in-gradebook exams 
on top of my car on a windy day.....  The exams ended up spread over 
several square blocks and up several stories in trees.  Two were never 
recovered....
